Sometimes we need to make people say, Wow!

Chair Design Part 1
This began as a simple exercise in hard edges and chair design, then morphed into a dining set and then an exercise in volumetric light. See parts 2 and 3. Parts 1 and 2 are presented in the kind of light that might be used for classic catalog images, while part 3 is more moody and the environment is stressed.

Mattress Picker Cart
This rendering of a cart used by mattress stores and warehouses was made originally in FormZ, then translated into Luxology modo. Upon reflection, it would have been simpler to just start the model over, but some might say that there is a stubborn streak in me.
The orginal model was made based on a crude sketch that was faxed to me by the client. The cart needed to be durable enough for rough handling in the warehouse, but cool enough to brought out to the show room as well. The paint job is based on car paint colors.

Kitchen chair exercise
This started off as a simple exercise in hard edges, but somehow morphed into cover art for a jazz album. This was done entirely in modo, using an HDRI environment, a kick light, and a couple of presets, after building the chair.
