with a couple days to relax after the official events, we spent the afternoon at the semenggoh wildlife centre. here they rehabilitate injured or orphaned wild animals from the nearby jungle. the orangutan sanctuary is really part of the local forest with fences to keep people out. we arrived in time to catch the end of the feeding, where they put out food and the orangutans come down to feed if they are hungry. we were lucky to catch a number of them playing in the trees. pretty cool.
