princess heroes



kailea originally wanted to be captain hook for halloween, but changed her mind. the idea of a crocodile lurking to eat her wasn't so appealing. i started throwing out some ideas. princess, witch, an animal...but our girl had her mind made up. her top three picks were ariel, pocahontas and mulan. i was impressed with her inclination to imitate heroines that reflect strength and independence. i know i think it's great- wait 10 more years? i don't think it is 'my issue' anyway as all three disney characters clearly have one thing in common. they all disobeyed their fathers. right brent?

oh by the way- she was mulan last night.
