first day of summer, first day of school



for kailea at least...
brent and i took her to pre-school this morning. i asked her if she was excited- she said, a little. and quickly added that she was a little bit shy too. she was indeed a little bit shy- she came in her class without saying a word. she took a rather tricky puzzle to work with and finished. again, without saying a word, she held it up for mr. a to see. then it was off to the yard where she fancied the 'school bus' trike. a couple of phone calls, picking up and delivering the mail in the little 'village' they have in the yard...she's not too shy anymore. brent and i gave her a hug and a kiss and said goodbye as they started lining up to go back to their classroom.

i picked her up at 5:30. we talked the whole way home. as we parked in our complex, she told me not to tell her dad that she is going to marry mr. a. she told me it was a surprise.
