twelve traditions- no. 1holidays are perfect time to bring old
traditions to life, and start a new
ones
![]() photo by brent i guess i'm officially declaring this, tradition no. 1 - the christmas tree. growing up in the philippines, we always had the biggest, prettiest tree. the only thing is- they were never real. we had our first real tree in guam- it was expensive, as real christmas trees didn't grow there either. it was a little dried up and didn't smell as good. a few days later, the typhoon came. we didn't get to enjoy our tree much. now that we're here in california, we get a real nice tree every year. and as you can see- kailea with her rain boots on- loves running up and down the rows of fresh smelling, beautiful, real trees.
