what's wrong with white socks and black shoes?



our office does not have a dress code. business casual is what i prefer to call them. you can get away with a pair of jeans on a monday. and i have been guilty of wearing jeans more than three times a week. i thought i'd step up my fashion sense this year. i bought new shoes, changed my wardrobe a bit and even bought new pants. i now look and feel better in my express editor pants and basic nice top. my female boss approached me the other day and told me that i should not wear white socks with black shoes. what? but all my socks are white. i have knit socks, tube socks, for work and play, but they are all white. is that such a fashion faux pas?

next thing you know, she'll be telling about trouser socks.....
