margaret's peanut butter cookies


These are great...unfortunately, I was not able to bake them successfully. My cookies came out flat and hard. I never tried baking another batch since. Luckily, Mom Wiese sends us some whenever she gets a chance

1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg, well beaten
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt

Chill dough and then form into small balls. Place balls on baking sheet and flatten with a fork dipped in flour, making a criss-cross pattern. Bake 10 t 12 minutes @ 350 degrees.
