hallie's berry crispeasy & yummy
1 bag of frozen berries - no need to
thaw
1 cup flour 1/3 cup oats 1/2 cup white or brown sugar 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp ginger 1/4 butter 1/2 cup brown sugar Use a food processor to mix the flour, sugar, oats, butter and spices. You can do it by hand too. The goal is just to get the butter and dry ingredients into small- about pea shaped pieces. It should look sort of dry and sandy. Dump the berries in a pie dish with the half a cup of brown sugar tossed on them. Then sprinkle the crisp part evenly to cover the berries. Put the whole thing in the oven for about 45 minutes at 350. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Posted: Sun - December 1, 2002 at 12:00 AM |
