Price and Volume

Use United or
Delta airlines to look at and analyze a price and volume
chart.
1. In the look up chart under More Info click on
Chart
2. Copy and paste a price and
volume chart to an AppleWorks WP document
- click and hold on the
chart
- in the menu that opens,
select copy this image
- click on your AppleWorks
document and paste
United's chart:
Delta's chart:
3. Draw a vertical line through
the chart where you think September 11 is on the chart
4. Mark 3 sections of your chart
similar to the chart above
- click on the Palette icon
to open the draw palette
- use the rectangle tool
with transparent fill to draw the box
- use the line tool to draw
the vertical line
5. Explain what is happening to
the price and volume in each section 1., 2., 3. Think about the
events that are influencing the price and volume changes and include
your ideas in your explanation.
