Border Collies and English Setters
First Harmony Farms currently breeds and sells quality Border Collies and English Setters. We are dedicated to animal health and responsible breeding. We regularly Brucellosis test all dogs, including our non-breeding females. We are mindful of genetic diseases when considering our breedings. We have all of our female's hips and elbows evaluated through OFA, and Eye Cerf. We are evaluating thyroid testing. We puppy test all litters for personality. We also hunt test the setter puppies before they go to new homes.
FHF does not own any breeding male dogs. We are of the opinion that we will most likely never own the best male dog in the nation. We only want to breed to what we consider the top dogs we can find. We try to breed to males that are considered to be the best at what they do and strive to breed to health tested males. Whether we are breeding for hunting, herding, or flyball dogs, we aim to breed the best out there.
English Setters
What's an English Setter
English Setters are amazing companion dogs. Setters love everyone they meet. All of our setters are from champion hunting lines. Our setters are bred to be natural hunters with a high tail. They are bred to work for their owners, not their own agendas. Dogs that run wild when turned off leash make horrible pets and are hard to train for pets or competition. Our dogs are extremely biddable and will work for anyone. Setters are naturally active dogs when outside, but couch potatoes in the house.

Border Collies
What's a Border Collie
Borders are the most amazingly intelligent dogs and need mental stimulation. They are extremely active dogs and require excessive amounts of exercise. Our borders are bred for competition: herding, flyball, agility, frisbee, and obedience. They do not make good pets! Border Collies are meant for working homes or people who are familiar with and enjoy their obsessiveness. For those people who want a dog for competitions of some sort, this is the breed for them. Borders are unbeatable when it comes to athletic ability and trainability.
