Maureen Strudwick 0402 123 720 (02)4365 4720       GOOD NEWS: Every one can sing! If you can talk with expression in your voice, you can sing. If people can tell what type of mood you are in by listening to your voice, you can sing. If you were told as a child you were 'tone deaf' you were given wrong information. (An extremely small number of people are 'tone deaf'.) If people tell you, you just can't sing - they are wrong. When you sing you may not sound beautiful to yourself, or to others, but YOU CAN IMPROVE. And YOU WILL IMPROVE if you learn to support your voice, to produce an open tone, and to release your natural voice.

Personal Experience   Inside Class       Experience Maureen has performed as a cabaret artist, a singer in a folk group, and in a jazz group, and has had lead roles in amateur and semi-professional musical theatre, operetta, and opera. Maureen has been teaching singing on the Central Coast for the last 12 years. Her passion is for singers to bring themselves to the song, to express their heart, and to connect to the listener within the song Training For 10 years Maureen studied classical singing with the Italian tenor Gino Zancanaro, and coaching with Cleo Borg. Education Bachelor of Applied Science (Occ.Therapy.) 1979 University of Sydney Masters of Education 1989 University of N.S.W.        Learning Everyone has very individual reasons as to why they choose to take lessons. There is no one right reason. Students can choose to learn for leisure, pleasure, achievement, self expression and/or a career. Whatever the reason, the common result will be a greater confidence in communication in all spheres of life. Individual Lessons Individual lessons are available for children, adolescents, and adults of all ages. Group lessons Group lessons for women are available as a course of six 90 minutes sessions. Each course offers a very supportive structure that encourages each student to discover their true voice and experience the joy of harmonizing with others. A six week course costs $90, or $75 for WOWgirl members. The next scheduled course will start on Friday 27th June, from 10.00 - 11.30am
