Practihc
Practihc (Pragmatic trials in health care) aims to make it easier to evaluate and implement health care interventions in developing countries. Of particular importance is the pragmatic nature of randomised, controlled trials that will be run as part of Practihc. In other words, the any positive effects produced by the intervention have a good chance of being repeated should the intervention be used outside of a clinical trial.
Practihc was a three and a half year project funded by the European Commission with a budget was around 0.9 million Euros. The project finished in May 2005.
Practihc has its own website: www.practihc.org
You can also download a summary of the completed project as a pdf file.
