the strange adventures “billboard”
The fine folks at Maxwell’s Plum, a great pub in downtown Halifax and our next-door neighbour, have a storage room between our buildings and it used to be painted plain grey...and it would get tagged all the time. I suggested that we paint it for them and it’s been graffiti-free for the most part for several years. Local artists such as Chalkmaster Dave and Scott Tobin have worked their magic on the wall. Last year, to mark the debut of Faith Erin Hicks’ new book The War at Ellsmere, we had Chris Lockerbie paint it based on Faith’s work. This year, it’s Parker’s turn. Darwyn sent along the image we gave Chris who then did an awesome job of putting it on the wall. Thanks, Chris!
