Celestron 8" Solar filter

I want to see the Sun sometimes, sooo...


June 8, 2004 is going to be a big day, due to the rare transit of Venus. Here on the east coast of the US, weather permitting, I'll be able to see the transit in progress when the Sun rises. If it were not for that, I'd have waited on this filter. I liked the Celestron because it was half the cost of the glass Solar filters. It uses filter material from the highly-regarded Baader company. So, it was an easy choice.
