Garnock Lodge, Lochwinnoch
Garnock Lodge is just outside Glasgow, very convenient to the airport. Needless to say, this was the last place we stayed in Scotland before leaving Sunday morning. Jim and Vivienne McMeechan were excellent hosts. Aside from well appointed rooms that include fresh baked cookies, they had available all the information needed for directions to the airport including marked, detailed maps to take with you. Not a small thing when one has only been to the airport once before and needs to get there early the next morning and drop off a car before making a flight.
Although the lodge is only 10 miles out of the big city of Glasgow, to look at the surrounding farms and beautiful countryside you would think you were much further away.
