Fun in the Sun in Hawaii

During school vacation, Melinda and I took Susie and Paul on their first trip to Hawaii for a fabulous two weeks. We all had a great time. Melinda and I got some much needed R&R and the kids spent their days collecting sea treasures, building sandcastles, and playing in the surf.
Now that we are back, we wanted to share some of our adventures, and photos, with our friends and family. (Just click on a photo to see a larger view.)

Susie:
Even though Paul wanted all of my shells, he was sometimes nice and helped me build my sandcastle. Everyone thought it was beautiful. My favorite part was when we saw the dolphins. |
Paul:
Susie says she built the sandcastle, but I did most of the work. My favorite thing was when the surf got really big one day and we rode the waves in. It was really fun playing with all the kids on the beach.
We hope you enjoy this souvenir of our vacation. Although we were a bit sad to come back to reality, we were also happy to be home and to see Sam (the dog) again.

| Beautiful Kauai

Kauai is one of the most spectacular of the Hawaiian islands. They call it "The Garden Island" because the lush plants are just as breathtaking as the famous beaches. Kauai also has some excellent restaurants (which even the kids enjoyed!).
Everyone we met was friendly, and some locals even helped the kids put together a shell collection. What a great vacation spot!
