Bonaire, 2008, with divers “too”

We stayed at the Plaza Resort, some of us in “Grand Suites,” and some in “Junior Suites.” The Grands all have ocean views. Not all of the Juniors do. The two have the same furnishings, but the Juniors have a little less floor space and a correspondingly lower price.

The Plaza is an upscale resort with all the amenities, including a pool, a sandy beach, and two easy-entry shore diving sites. There’s a good ocean-side restaurant (the Tipsy Seagull), a so-so restaurant (the Banana Tree--bad service), and a buffet breakfast.

There are lots of good restaurants with atmosphere in nearby Kralendijk. Richard’s, shown here (those are two dorados), is a block or two from the Plaza.

Irmi and I think Richards, the Mona Lisa, and the Tipsy Seagull are great. Everybody enjoyed the group dinner at It’s Raining Fishes.
