We decided to visit the eastern part of the Olympic peninsula for an easy hike. We had a very pleasant day on Mount Townsend. It was mostly overcast so we didn't get many views, but the positives were relatively cool weather and few bugs (a very welcome change from some of our recent outings). The total distance was 9 miles and the elevation gain was 3000'.
