For our first hike since I got my cast removed, Elain chose Mount Dickerman. The round-trip distance is 8.5 miles, and the elevation gain is about 3700'. We made decent time on the ascent, about 2:25. However, I struggled a bit with ankle pain and leg fatigue on the descent, so our descent time was 3 hours. Despite the overcast weather, we had a great time. There were a lot of blueberries along the trail, and we saw several hikers had brought plastic containers for blueberry-picking.
