Mount Shuksan, as seen from near the Mount Baker Ski Area
Elain and I attempted to climb Mount Shuksan via the White Salmon Glacier. We camped at 5000' near the White Salmon Glacier, and attempted to climb up the glacier at 3:00 AM. We encountered steep unconsolidated snow on the traverse over to the White Salmon Glacier, and turned back at 5300'.
