Because my foot and ankle injuries from Mount Maude had not fully healed yet, Elain and I decided to opt for a mellow day of ice cragging rather than an alpine climb. We decided to check out the ice climbing on the lower Nisqually Glacier, in Mount Rainier National Park. The seracs were big, but very dirty! When we returned to Seattle, we had to hose off all our gear to remove the grit and dirt.
