Exeter speeding across the quadrant, but when Garrovick and his men beam down, all seems strangely quiet. One by one, miners are disappearing, while the colony director is trying every trick in the book to get the Exeter to leave. Indeed, a stealthy invasion has begun-- but who are the REAL Atlantis Invaders?

Objective

The planned STARSHIP EXETER movies, "The Tressaurian Intersection" and "The Atlantis Invaders," are an attempt to create bigger, better STARSHIP EXETER adventures in the familiar 1960's science fiction style. The motivation for these movies is simple: We want to see a quality, new, action-adventure show based upon the universe and ideas of the "Original Series." We don't believe we are alone in this desire. The response received by STARSHIP EXETER "The Savage Empire" is proof that there exists a multitude of fans yearning for a retro-style show based on the "Original Series."

It is our hope that the successful completion of this project will generate such an overwhelming response, it will prove to "the powers that be" that a show like STARSHIP EXETER, based upon the unique look and feel of the 1960's "Original Series" has unstoppable potential and should be produced as a regular television serial or as a series of big-budget motion pictures.

Preproduction

Preproduction for "The Tressaurian Intersection" and much of "The Atlantis Invaders" has been completed. Two talented screenwriters, Dennis Baily and Maurice Molyneaux, have rewriting earlier versions of these stories and delivered two excellent Starship Exeter screenplays. Samples of their work are available online.

A number of talented artists have volunteered to develop concept art, CGI imagery, miniatures, props, promotional materials, and even original music for the new productions. These artists are continuing to work with us as we push forward into post production. Their work can be viewed online.

New costumes and sets have been developed. New Photos will be added soon.

Core crew members of the Starship Exeter (Captain Garrovick, Jo Harris, Cutty, and Lt. B'fuselek) have returned and are joined by new cast members Elizabeth Wheat (Yeoman Richards) and Garry Peters (Captain Kosnett). Photos of these and other additions to the cast are available on the CAST page. Test footage of the Starship Exeter crew has been filmed in a number of locations. Screen test stills are available for viewing.

Fourteen thousand square feet of studio space was rented at Austin Studios in Austin, Texas for the dates of June 19 through July 31, 2004. You can tour their facilities online by visiting their Website.

Production

Filming for "The Tressaurian Interesection" at Austin Studios wrapped on August 1, 2004. We are very pleased with the footage we came away with, but as post production gets underway, there remains to be filmed a short on-location scene, pick-up shots, and a number of special-effects sequences. A number of talented photographers were on hand during principle filming. Their photos can be found on their Websites.

We had planned to film the aboard-ship sequences for "The Atlantis Invaders," during our two-week shoot at Austin Studios. However, two weeks was barely enough time for us to complete filming for "The Tressaurian Intersection" and production costs for "The Tressaurian Intersection" amounted to almost twice our estimated expenses. We still hope to produce a third Exeter episode, but for now we are putting "The Atlantis Invaders" on hold while we focus on the completion and release of "The Tressaurian Intersection" on December 19, 2004.

Post Production

Post production for "The Tressaurian Intersection" began immediately following live action filming in Austin, Texas. It includes CGI rendering, special effects creation, editing, and audio mixing. Space ships and other miniatures are being created and filmed by Thomas Sasser and Kyle Clark at Thomas Models. We aim to have post production completed and the movie ready for online viewing by December 19, 2004.
