Great Day for a Stroll!

The sun is shining and Sammy Snail is airing out his house. Sammy is snailing along the 10-m log which is floating along in the river with its axis perpendicular to the flow of the river (as shown).

The river is flowing at the rate of 50 cm/s; Sammy sort of flows also, at the rate of 2 cm/s. Your job is to figure out how long it will take Sammy to stroll from one end of the log to the other, and how far downstream Sammy will be carried.

If you want some extra credit, you will also calculate his resultant velocity!
