The screen capture here shows a scan from an Epson Perfection 1650 attached to E's computer. But the scanner is being run from my PowerBook.

Speaking of ice, we've had a bit here at Moonshine Lodge. The temperature has been hovering around 32 or 33 degrees, with a constant drizzle coming from the clouds.

The wireless thermometer at Moonshine Lodge displayed an outdoor temperature of 29 degrees at 8:10 Sunday morning. I plugged in the super-warm set of electric gear - including heated gloves - and went anyway. Meeting place was the New York Restaurant, just a few minutes away.

I wasn't expecting anyone to join me. I had privately invited about ten people from all walks, and publicly offered the day to the BMW Motorcycle Owners of Georgia. No one showed. More home fries for me.

TN 68 was empty to Tellico Plains. Even Seven Sisters was closed. I should have considered it an omen to my lunch plans.

Of course we got the iPod shuffle accessories before we got the player itself. Dangit. So we plugged the Belkin TuneCast II into a portable CD player and went for Mexican.

We ordered the iPod Shuffle tonight. Directly from the Apple Store, with our educational discount.

Elizabeth has been procrastinating lately. Therefore, she now has a weblog.

I got to test Skype tonight. It really works.
