My understanding is that dealers are getting intros to this new model in South Africa as I type. I found what purports to be a Press Kit from this introduction. I can't vouch for the authenticity, but that won't stop me from passing it along (450kb).

If the weight claims and the further-claimed 100 horsepower are true, this bike is almost competition with the KTM 950 Adventure. Well, an R12GS Adventure, similar to the previous model, would almost compete with the KTM. The shaft versus chain makes the R an ideal long-distance adventure tourer. I still don't know which I want.
