Send Your Mac Address Book to a Webpage

You can turn your Address Book into an html page to publish either internally or on the internet.

I wanted to share Address Books on the Moonshine Lodge LAN, just the two of us. Jaguar does not utilize Rendezvous to share Address Books like Panther does, and the few shareware applications I found just did not seem to be worth the fifty bucks to get them on two computers (out of four).

So I downloaded HTMLize Address Book. It's an AppleScript that turns the entire Address Book into a hierarchical set of webpage frames. I had enabled webserving in Jaguar from this hint, so I just put a copy of the folder created by the Applescript into my Sites Folder, accessible from any computer on my LAN, in any web browser (I renamed the folder).

Read the documentation that comes with the Applescript. It will help you customize the script. E wants to use this to put a copy of her Publishers Group onto a publicly accessible site.
