James Monroe in Epworth

JAMES MONROE, SON OF LEGENDARY BILL MONROE,
TO PERFORM IN EPWORTH

EPWORTH, GA — Collins Productions is pleased to announce an historic Bluegrass Concert on Friday, March 12 with James Monroe and his band, The Midnight Ramblers. The concert will begin at 8:00 PM at Toccoa Falls College (formerly Truett-McConnell College).

If you missed seeing Bill Monroe perform during his lifetime, this will be a rare opportunity to be in the presence of a Bluegrass Dynasty.

The Monroe name is synonymous with Bluegrass music. James Monroe served apprenticeship as a Bluegrass Boy from 1964-1971 recording 94 sides with his famous father, Bill Monroe-the Father of Bluegrass.

He definitely has the Monroe voice, the phrasing and the natural drive. James formed the Midnight Ramblers in 1971 and has made his own mark in Bluegrass music with his unique Monroe-style of singing.

Opening acts include “Chattahoochee” and Blairsville’s own Hall of Fame fiddle player “Randall Collins” who is joined by fiddlers Lisa Jacobi and Crystal Murphy.

General admission tickets are on sale the night of the concert at the door for $10.00 for Adults and FREE admission for children. An autograph table will be available prior to the concert.
