Badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger: Mushroom! Mushroom!
BMTCRSC: Abbreviation for The Big Metal Turn
of the Century Reproduction Sign Company, a semi-mythical organization
that provides reproduction metal advertising signs to those kind of
places. (You know the ones I'm talking about, don't you?)
First observed in the Making
It comic strip, and appropriated without shame by us even before there
was a Saturday Dining Conspiracy.
The French Problem: A shorthand
way of saying, "High prices. Small portions."
"How do we get the French thing in there?" asks Lawrence.GBTC: Girl (or Guy) Behind The Counter.
"You serve half as much," says Traussi, "and charge two times the price."
--The Fourth Star, Leslie Brenner
SDC: Abbreviation for the Saturday Dining Conspiracy.
Lawrence:A large pizza with ground beef, pepperoni, sausage and onions; our default "benchmark" pizza.
Zeno's Appetizer: From Zeno's Paradox. Whenever
we get an appetizer (especially at Thai Kitchen), no one wants to be rude
and take the last one. So they split it in two and take half. Then, of
course, the next person, not wanting to be rude, splits the remaining half
in two and takes half. And so on, and so on, and so on...
For simple people such as ourselves, this can provide minutes of fun.
