1999 Chrysler Concord Petty NASCAR - (built 2000)

Here's a fantasy NASCAR I built a few years ago before Chrysler announced they would be getting back into stock car racing. I was inspired after Ertl came out with their Concord slammer model. I thought it would make a swoopy looking nascar and it would be neat to see the Petty family back in a Chrysler product. I guess I wasn't too far off from reality. To convert the Concord into a Nascar body, I smoothed over the body seems and marker lights. Also added were a scratch-built rear spoiler, a wire mesh grill, and wheels from the parts box. I designed my own fictional paint scheme by using a set of slixx decals from the '97 pontiac car and repositioning the patterns to better match the Concord body work. I has created custom made dry transfers for the Mopar Parts graphics on the trunk and quarter panels.
