Ancient Egypt Unit

Making Hieroglyphics for our tomb using an overhead projector.

Inside the mummy's tomb! Sarcophagus & student artwork.

The mummy's tomb.

We won 1st place in the building

Roman Empire Unit

Here's Tyshaun & Annais making Mosaic artwork just like ancient Romans!

Here's Myisha and Brandi making their Mosaics, using peas, beans, and rice instead of tessarae.

Middle Ages/Vikings Unit

This is my classroom door, decorated by the kids for our Viking unit.

In the center of our classroom the kids constructed the interior of a Viking longhouse. COOL!

Some of our Viking ships.

Also, Delano, Arielle, Brandi, & Kaneesha.

I'm not sure what the hand signals mean, but I'm SURE it's Viking related.

Chris, Doug, Tyshaun, Randy, Anthony & Anthony.

Our Viking weaving projects.

Part of our 'how did Vikings stay warm?' lesson.

Historically inaccurate (Vikings didn't wear horns), but still a nice way to welcome people to our room for Paragon night!

Reformation & Renaissance Unit

Our unit on Martin Luther coincided with our study of Martin Luther King Jr.!

Pay $$$$$ to pray to God? If you lived during the Reformation this happened all the time! And don't forget to pay your taxes...

The church that we built in the back of the room.

Here's Annais explaing to her grandmother about the importance of the printing press.

Here's our Paragon wall for this unit.

French Revolution

A student drawing of Marie Antoinette, exaggerating her worst features. Marie was Queen of France and lost her head during the Reign of Terror!

What are we studying today? Put together this hard puzzle to find out?

Zee Guillotine!!

Those French liked their hair big! This is fashionable French evening wear during the late 1700's

Jonae & Delisa are modelling their excellent replicas of French nobility wigs, complete with jewels and decorations.
