Naga the Serpent is rumored to be, Princess Gracia Ul Naga Saillune, older sister of Ameria and daughter of Prince Phillionel Saillune, Crown Prince of Saillune. She had seen her mother murdered and this left an impression which would alter her life forever. She faints at the site of blood, and like her sister Ameria, never uses a sword.

Her most obvious characteristics, besides, her womanly figure and choice of dress, are her poignant laugh and over barring self-confidence. Naga is not evil but has a laugh that can easily clear a bar, which is typical of an evil sorceresses. Her dress has the style of an evil sorceress of a hundred years before Lina. It has been said that she found this outfit of a relative, mother or grandmother, and took it for her persona as Naga the Serpent. She probably felt that since she had the, dress and laugh, attention and respect would come with the act. This is Naga's weakness. She confuses the trappings of power respect with the real thing. When Naga finds that she has been working for, "the forces of darkness," she is more than willing to correct the situation and help Lina.

Naga seems a bit scatterbrained, she would even get lost in her own castle (Thank you QPDiana) a fact her father forgot as he let Naga go off on her own. Could this classify this as a case of a mild learning disability, or absentmindedness?

If we take a close look at Naga we must consider her background. She is the elder child of a crown prince. With this title comes all the training and perks of that position. She would be taught to take charge. What she would say would someday law. Self doubt and second guessing are things to be done in private and not in public. She looks down on Lina at times as a commoner. She can not say she is royalty to Lina as this would blow her cover. Even if she did, Lina would treat it with the same contempt as she did to Martina.

Another part of her upbringing would be training. This would training in speech, dress and manners. She has, at times, the moves of a fashion modal. She uses words to taunt and best her foes where Lina might just Mega Brand them. She can handle a knife and fork with the grace of a Bostonian Aristocrat and still compete with Lina on her terms.

Hands on hips, high on a perch, taunting laugh, sword at the side, leather belt and boots, who is it? Naga's best proof of her royal lineage can be seen in her barring. I can relate her entrance style to Errol Flynn's role in, "The Adventures of Robin Hood." Robin Hood would swing to a high branch and announce, "Welcome to Sherwood," and bring in the dead stag and plop it down on Regent John's table with the same hands on hips pa-nache as an equal not a subject. This is something that Amelia imitates very well when she pulls rank.
