Filia Ul Copt is a Golden Dragon and a Shrine Median of her clan and the temple of the Fire Dragon King. A prophecy of imminent doom has been revealed. Filia has chosen Lina Inverse as her second choice to save the world. As Lina's employer, this puts Felia as the stories central character. This has the affect of delegating Gourry, Amelia and Zelgadiss to secondary characters of the story.

Since Slayers TRY was not writen as part of the noval series, we have a divergence in Slayers fans. Slayers and Slayers NEXT followed fairly closely to the books. With the idea of the barrier and Gods Magic, that Amelia does not use, it gives a divergent rather than intagrated storyline.
