Eight engines powered the first stage of the Saturn and Saturn 1B launch vehicles during earth-orbit trials of Apollo spacecraft and orbital/docking/re-entry maneuvers, and to place three three-man crews into orbit during the Skylab program.
The engine weighs 2000 pounds and develops a thrust of 200,000 pounds. Its fuel is a combination of liquid oxygen and kerosene.
