I started this website to collate useful information that I might use in my day to day practice. There are already some superb resources like gpnotebook etc. and this website does not provide such extensive information. I am merely collecting bits and bobs from everywhere and publishing them here. A lot of work is my original though. Non original work is reproduced with permission or the original source credited. What makes this site unique is that it is a site for trainees by a trainee. What happens with this website now that I have finished my training ? Well, learning never stops and as I am new to General Practice and hope to become a trainer one day, I would like to keep on adding resources over the years.
A lot of stuff here is non-clinical. I am adding a page on Gadgets soon. I have provided a link to my local teaching calendar. If anybody wants to provide a link to their calendar I will happily publish it here. I have a few years of experience in Paediatrics and I hope to add useful resources in the coming months...things that might be useful for GPs and trainees alike. I am working with a couple of my colleagues at a hospice to provide some useful information with regards to palliative care (syringe drivers,etc). If anybody has any relevant information, please do get in touch and I shall add it here.
By the way, this site displays best on Firefox, Safari or Opera although Internet Explorer should be ok. I am working on a PDA/Mobile version of this site as well and hopefully it will be live soon if I feel there is a potential use for that. I host it on .mac ( Apple) server through personal subscription and hence I have no ads on this site. As the resources grow I hope this would be an oft used website but I have no intention to make any commercial gains from this site.
If you do use any clinical information through here, please do double check to make sure it is up to date ( I try and review the information and links regularly ).
