winter of crows - page 38 (without Hope, i might as well be dead)

and so it comes to the last page . . . and sparrow's fall - winter of crows is over.

it was an ambitious little thing--too ambitious of my meager talents, but i did it anyway. slopping, poorly-drawn, depressing as hell, and i made altogether upwards of a thousand copies of it, and they all scattered to the winds, presumably read. i dunno. that's the beauty of independent comics independently distributed . . . you don't know where they went, or who has them, or even what they thought of the things.

down at the bottom was the promise of a comic called armadillo armageddon. i never actually wrote it, although it did try to a couple times. elements of it ended up in another comic, which you will eventually see up here, if you can stand this schlock long enough.

in a way this was kind of the climax of sparrow's fall, or at least the climax i envisioned when i began it--no suicide, but a quick violent moment of despair and action. but the comic kept staggering on, and continues to do so.

eh, whatever.
