winter of crows - page 3 (an early morning at work without chris isaak)

well, nips clock says it's 8 a.m., so christopher must be early at work, right? well, yes: i got to work at 6 a.m. at the place that must not be named for years, and liked it that way. i have been waking up early--exceedingly early--since college, and in those days wasn't staying up very late. i much prefer having all afternoon left ahead of me than sleeping in, and getting home at six or seven.

ultimately, long after this, and not so very long ago, i found out that working on the weekends was even better, because things were a whole lot less annoying then.

chris isaak was one of my favorite artists at the time, and is still on the top 20 list. i played his CDs into the ground, because they were so depressing. and while i was drawing this, i was depressed out of my mind. i played them a lot, and fortunately people at work liked them too, or i'd have found a lot of them with big, mysterious scratches.

the panelling here is promising, but the drawing's a little rough and the wash is very washy indeed.
