winter of crows - page 16 (we used to watch pop-up-video)

i was looking for a flock of seagulls album for quite a while, they were unaccountably rare at the time. of course, now i would just download it off the internet . . . at some legal place like the itunes store, for instance, i am sure! pop-up video was big back then, too.

there's a girl checking christopher out . . . now, i asked her out once, and we went to d'bronx, but i have no idea why she bothered to go out with me, as she was obviously uncomfortable and quickly excused herself. i liked her for quite a while . . . including her in this comic in case she read it and understood how i felt--this of course proves that i am an idiot--but i never dared ask her out again. she moved to chicago and, i understand, got married. i have that effect on people.

the last panel interests me, just because i took so much trouble drawing it (albeit crudely,) and so little drawing the street scene outside recycled sounds. that's a little odd.

remember! CDs are not in the jewel cases! and a funny story comes to mind; a year or so after? before? this comic--before, i guess--someone broke into recycled sounds and the music exchange and cleaned them out out. all the CD cases were gone! but all of the CDs were in file cabinets behnd the counters, so the thieves just got a bunch of plastic boxes and some liner notes.

idiots.
