a quiet day at work

not to say there wasn't plenty to do---but if one particular job had not come in, there would have been nothing to do at all.

we were debating the other day if black friday would be chaotic or not, and we finally decided that not was the answer: that it would take a while for the full steam of shipping to build up. and lo! we were right. that aspect of the J-O-B was utterly dead.

our fear is that saturday or sunday will be the point at which mayhem commences.

interestingly, when i went out to take some thing some where, the plaza really seemed quiet to me. bonnie thought it was busy, but i have to disagree. it was 2:15 pm on black friday, and although there were certainly people on the sidewalk, and it wasn't like 7 AM sunday morning, it wasn't exactly home for the holidays chaotic, either.

i predict, therefore, a slow retail holiday season, and a return to (technical) recession next quarter.

that is all.
