My apologies for the late updates or lack of thereof, since my computer went down for about two days and I just returned from the AnimeUSA convention. I will post updates tomorrow including con news.

Mahou Sensei Negima / Magister Negi Magi - chapter 58 now available for download. It's now time for Negi's apprenticeship test against Evangeline and Chachamaru. Condition to win: land one successful hit on Chachamaru. And as we've seen before, Chachamaru is quite a tough opponent to battle against. As the two of time fight it out for quite some time, Negi refuses to give up despite how much damage he takes. Even though the odds seem against him, Asuna and the girls, especially Makie, are cheering him on. How will this battle end?

Media Lists - an interesting find on some online stores lists the Mao-chan manga for sale. This is the same Mao-chan created by Ken Akamatsu as an anime series. Apparently, a group called Ran is doing the manga adaptation of the series. I have added the covers to the Media Lists section. Added back cover for Negima US release Vol. 3.
Just a reminder: again do not ask me for chapters for Vol. 3 as the US release of the manga is available in all retail bookstores. Also, I quickly wanted to make a clarification. Recently, there have been some comments involving the time it takes for me to post the releases. Please remember that I'm only acting as a distributor for the scanlation group that is actually doing the translation of the original version for fans. I have no direct involvement on doing the translations, but I do check frequently through the scanlation group for new chapter releases. I mainly post chapters as I read them,so as to give a brief and hopefully spoiler free preview synopsis for those of you that download from the site. As far as I know, up to chapter 61 of the series has been translated, so we're not too far behind.

Next Love Hina character profile on next update. Updates will be few for this week until after Oct. 31st, since I will be studying this week and will be attending the AnimeUSA convention next weekend here in the DC area. I promise to bring news of any new series licenses, since I plan to attend the Bandai, Pioneer/Geneon, and ADV Films industry panels.
New anime licenses - coming out of Oni-Con in Houston, TX this past weekend were a few new series that have been licensed for US release:
ADV Films: Kumo no Mukou, Yakusoku no Basho (The Place Promised In Our Early Days), Godannar, Kita e : Diamond Dust Drops, Papuwa, Five Star Stories Ghost Stories
Keep checking for upcoming details on the next site contests as I will be giving away the Ayaka and Evangeline character CDs. I will post info probably later in the week.

Downloads section - the Seat Number Song has been uploaded again for those who didn't get to download it last time. Added Ameagari no Tenshi from the recent Ayaka Yukihiro character CD for Negima.

Moon Phase reports that the Mahou Sensei Negima anime will premiere on January 6th at 1:00AM on TV Tokyo. The lead production company for the series is XEBEC. Moon Phase tentatively lists Nagisa Miyazaki as the Director. Mahou Senshi Negima was created by Ken Akamatsu , also known for the Love Hina manga. Source: MoonPhase
By the way, a little background info behind the production and direction is that XEBEC is the studio that has helped to create other series such as Stellvia, Zoids, MegaMan NT Warrior, Nadesico, Fafner, Dai-Guard, and DNAngel (which will be released in the US next month) Recent projects that Nagisa Miyazaki has directed are D.C.- Da Capo and Sister Princess RePure.
Chapter 58 and more media items will be uploaded during the course of the weekend.

Mahou Sensei Negima/Magister Negi Magi - chapter 57 is now available. As Negi undergoes his intense training with Fei Ku, Makie is looking to get closer to Negi. After about three days worth of training, he's ready to take on Chachamaru. But first, he needs a bath. Asuna and Makie bring him to get a shower at the gym. Hopefully, they won't get caught. Just then, Ayaka comes in...

Characters section - now open. However, I have not uploaded any of the character profiles yet, since I'm gradually making designs for the individual character pages. I apologize for those of you who wrote the profiles. I'm working as quickly as possibly to get your character descriptions up as soon as possible.
Additional manga covers and contract cards will be added on next update.

Mahou Sensei Negima/Magister Negi Magi - chapter 56 now available for download. Makie Sasaki has always had a passion for gymnastics, especially now as she's preparing for a selection test for a competition. When Makie overhears her instructor's harsh comments, her confidence is shattered. Perhaps she could lend a hand to Negi and his training, especially since Evangeline has issued a challenge to him. One thing she knows for sure: she will give it her all no matter what it takes

Akamatsu X-mas Story - I have reuploaded Itsudatte My Santa, a short X-mas story that Ken Akamatsu did before he did Love Hina. This is a one shot story that uses a little bit of the character style of A.I. Love You and what would become the characters of Love HIna.

Well, my DSL service is finally up and running. And for today's update, I have some important announcements:
Chapter upload rule change: thanks to .Mac, they have increased my online disk space to a half gig at no extra charge. For those who didn't get to download the Akamatsu special story and some media files, they will be uploaded once again within the next few days except for Negima manga chapters that have already been released in the US. Vol. 3 chapters will remain on the site until the US official release date arrives.
Mahou Sensei Negima/Magister Negi Magi - next chapter I will upload tomorrow due to catching up on backlog. Uploaded CD cover for Negima Character Soundtrack Vol. 9 for Ayaka Yukihiro in Media Lists section. Don't forget that Vol. 3 of Negima will be released in the US next week in bookstores.
Negima/Love Hina Fun Fact: (thanks to Victor W. for the reference): in chapter 55 which I just uploaded last week, Negi and many of the girls from his class go to the bowling alley for the day. Location look familiar? Check the Love Hina manga Vol. 6 - Chapter 46 and you'll notice it's the same bowling alley that Keitaro, Naru, and Mutsumi visit. If you compare the drawings, it seems that Ken Akamatsu had used some of the same shots for Negima as he did in Love Hina.
