Love Hina Vol. 4 Summaries by Contributing Writer: Hiro Daioh : The Hinata gang finally returns from their "Vacation" and it turns out that they've arrived just in time for Naru's High school graduation. However, something is amiss when she comes home in a really somber mood after having been reminded of the reason she was trying to get into Tokyo U.Since it is time for the Hinata cherry blossom festival the gang decides to use that as an excuse to cheer her up with them all having their own thoughts as to her sadness. On the way to the festival with the necessary alcohol Keitaro runs into a stranger who helps him out, and then strangely vanishes. That evening the gang's plan to help cheer her up ends with success. : It starts as a normal day for everyone until Su attempts to scarf the new resident of the Hinata house Tama the turtle. Oddly enough it flies off to another part of the house, taking Naru's watch with it. A chase ensues that reveals what the rooms of the other residents are like from the over cuteness of Shinobu's, to the wild side of Su's, along with the truth of one of Motoko's weaknesses; all of which could have been avoided had they simply read the manual. When Keitaro accidentally walks in on Motoko changing, this causes her to challenge him to another fight, where if he wins she will do whatever he says, but if she wins he must go through her family's training. However, things go horribly wrong for her when he manages to block her blade with his bare hands. Because of this she must do what he says, however it proves to be quite a challenge for her when he asks her to be more feminine for a while. Will she be able to take the other girls' rigorous training, or will it prove too much for her? Due to Su and the others draining Keitaro's life savings, Keitaro is forced to try to get a part-time job during the recession going on in Japan. However, he soon finds out just how hard it is as he is turned down over and over. After landing a job though Kitsune shows up to ruin it. She then tells him about the man that tutored Naru during High School and who inspired her to try for Tokyo U. Will this help him understand her better or make it worse? Keitaro finally lands a job as a "Stuff Mover" for none other than the man who had helped him before doing the Sakura Festival. However Naru isn't very happy about this because Keitaro has given up on Tokyo U. After almost getting ran over by his new boss Keitaro learns he's bitten off more than he can chew as he is forced to fix all the Earthenware that was destroyed by Seta's driving. However this is just the beginning of his problems as he learns of Seta's "daughter" Sarah who makes his job miserable. Will he be able to take it? After another battle between Sarah and Keitaro, they get an unexpected (and unwanted) surprise. Seta has to go to Osaka for a conference and needs Keitaro to watch Sarah for him. Both take it pretty badly. However so decides to take advantage of the situation and weasel her way into the hearts of the Hinata girls and make Keitaro miserable. Will Keitaro be able to get through this? After a conversation between Seta and Sarah, she mentions the name of the Hinata house and decide to go for a visit. At the same time Keitaro and Naru get in a fight again over breakfast, after which Seta and Sarah show up and meet a surpised Kitsune. The Hinata girls team up to stop Seta and Naru from running into each other by any means necessary. After another short lived battle between Keitaro and Sarah, Keitaro goes to Seta's classroom while it is empty and reminisces about how badly he flunked. Over lunch that day Keitaro discovers that Seta used to be pretty stupid just like him. This inspires Keitaro to try get into Tokyo U again, as is Naru. The two of them talk about how their trying again. During another bad day of driving again Naru and Seta are reunited. After Seta and Naru are reunited Naru runs away in joy, causing Motoko and the others to stop her. Afterwards Naru and Seta catch up on old times. During this conversation Naru is acting like Keitaro. Later the whole Hinata gang decides to help Naru get Seta. How will it go? | |
