Makoto Sawatari is a strange girl who randomly attacked Yuuichi as he was wandering about town. Makoto's an amnesiac, and cannot remember much about her own past - In fact, at first she didn't remember her own name. What she CAN remember is that she hated Yuuichi, but can't remember why. Having nowhere else to go, and Yuuichi being her only clue about her past, she was brought into the Minase household. While in the household, her attempts to "get revenge" on Yuuichi primarily consist of various pranks.

In particular, Makoto is naturally attracted to "strays", although she seems to hold the opinion that they shouldn't be cared for, as once they're thrown away, they'll only feel more pain, having lost what they once had. Undoubtedly, this links to her own past. Perhaps, rather than having 'forgotten' her memory, she was instead abandoned to survive on her own?
