Kaori Misaka is Shiori's older sister, even though she doesn't like admitting it to people or talks about it for that matter. She's quiet and quite capricious and also frank. She's also in the same class as Nayuki and Yuuichi.

Despite her cold attitude, Kaori really has a good heart. Despite also the fact that she doesn't acknowledge her sister, she really loves Shiori and were saddened that her sister would not be with her forever and soon turn into a denial. Later in the episode, she reconciles with her sister, and becomes her true loving sister that she is at heart. She then visits Shiori everyday at the hospital.
