Vertice

Standing on a turning table,
Back against the void.
Willing, strong, but not yet able,
For crashing woes but to avoid.

Test our wings try for perfection,
Dreams of wealth and fame.
Travel off in some direction,
Save that from whence we came.

Fast comes the point of no return,
The time to change is nigh.
Through trials and tests we strive to learn
But get nowhere till we try.

We rest upon this spinning wheel
And take the hand that fate does deal,
But that can change with just the will
To over turn the world.

Sitting on this table twirling,
A telescoping, rusted joint,
Our minds inside us, writhing, swirling
This is the turning point.
