The story of my day ^_^
The whole thing started the day before after the really cool Supertones concert (which I have no pics from because my camera broke!! : ( ) when my friend informed me that my dad was unable to get Newsboys tickets for the next day I was devastated! But I told God that whatever he did was fine by me and even though I was a bit restless I was totally ok with the whole situation. Tuesday morning came, went to the mass event and afterward rushed to the Convention Center where I took up perch at the front of the line to see if anyone had a spare ticket to give. I started talking to some guys and told them of my predicament. Then, much to my surprise, one of them gave me his ticket!! I was like "I'm going to hug you now!" and I did. I really wish I had gotten his name or something but I didn't, : ( ohwell. Was the first person to get into the Big Easy and was right in front, behind the security guards. The one in front of me, that was too mean to give me Phil's beads, was named Mark and he was pretty nice up 'til that. The concert rocked, but the pics didn't come out too good, stupid mist!! After the concert I rushed over to the "personal meeting". Well the Newsboys didn't get over as fast as the fans did and we found ourselves with some spare time. We sang Breakfast a cappella, some guy flipped his eyelids inside out, a lady sang the presidents, a guy sang the Roman numerals up to 18, we did some crazy Jamaican type song, and a girl from Florida came up and yodeled with her friends. That was funny 'cuase the guy that was like the moderator joked with them to be careful 'cuase he heard that the Newsboys were looking for a yodeler. So when the Newsboys finally showed up, minus Dunny : (, he brought the girls up and they yodeled again for the Newsboys. They found it amusing. Then the Newsboys answered a bunch of questions with Peter and Phil doing most of the talking, but I enjoyed hearing them. When asked where Dunny was, they said they didn't know! Lol, it was funny! Like, they only saw him during the shows then he hops in his limo and leaves. ^_^ Then, the last picture posted, was when we got to go up afterward and have them sign stuff. Jody was pretty funny. He joked with me that I was trying to get him to sign my thing twice, when I was trying to pass it to Phil, who told me that it was against the rules for him to pass it down the line. So I gave it to Pete, I think I may have seen Summer standing on the side of the stage but I ain't sure. I barely got Jeff to sign it as he walked out, I had to tap him on the shoulder to get his attention. Then I went about my way, happy as a clam for the next year until they came by ABQ again! And that's my story, I have lots more to say, but this is the part that has the Newsboys in it, the rest you probably don't care to know about, except those adorable otters!! ^_^
