A Chinese theory for this condition was that if a person had a shock, a terrible shock, a
screw loose shock, a Humpty Dumpty fell off the wall shock, out of her mind shock, being cracked shock, they could loose their soul.
This had happened to Polly some seventeen years earlier. She was badly shaken for a year or two, then
saw a man who understood severe shocks.
She asked him, “Could this have killed me?”
“Yes, you could have had a heart attack, you could have had a stroke. It should never have happened”.
This was an ugly hospital experience, which was why she was seeing a private Psychotherapist, not a Psychologist or a Psychiatrist.
----- If your energy field is off-balance, is that the same as losing your soul?------
Now Polly stopped being so afraid. She knew more of what it was all about, and Dr. Holly’s treatment
was working. (another card for Dr. Holly) |

Then Dr. Holly said, I have helped you with the physical, now you must work on the spiritual--
In came Dr. Branny. He was big and strong and had an air of wisdom. He told her you must close your eyes
and visualize the colour Violet, which she did. Being a gardener and a birdwatcher no doubt helped.
You must say “The Lord’s Prayer” line by line and visualize the colours of the rainbow.
VIOLET -INDIGO -BLUE -GREEN -YELLOW -ORANGE -RED
As a child in Britain she was taught

Then coming to Canada, growing up and starting a family, she realized this wouldn’t work for her own
kids, so for them---
RIDE ON YOUR GREEN BICYCLE INTO VANCOUVER.
So the colours of the rainbow were familiar. The Lord’s Prayer was on the edge of familiar, but what is this?
She did not consider herself religious. As a child a kind neighbour who was the Sunday School teacher told her when she was ten or so
that she was old enough to go to church. Which she did.
But they raised the floor off the dias, there was water underneath, what is this? People got dunked.
Scare scare. Back to the ladybird tree. A favourite tree. (that's ladybird, not ladybug, for all you colonials).
Dr. Branny told her to see this in a spiritual sense, not religious. It was interesting that there are
seven lines in the Lord’s Prayer and seven colours of the rainbow. What did this mean? Dr. Branny asked her to do this six times a day,
which she did.
She found for the Lord’s Prayer and the medititations a quiet mind was needed. A calm mind, no heavy
thinking. Not so easy. Greek letters kept popping up.
