This week the association will honor members of our association who have served in a voluntary capacity; directors, committee chairs and their members, and members at large who have taken of their time to serve our membership in so many ways.  

They deserve the thanks and the token of appreciation that is characteristic of our organization.  It has become a part of the tradition, enjoyed annually. It  will in no way be too great for the type and breadth of knowledge our volunteers have shared so willingly, some over many, many years.

Yes, member dues will pay for the dinner held at the Sun and Sail Club.  Member dues in the amount of less than 10 cents a month will go toward our public thanks.  If you look at it as a repayment, look no further.  The money our resident experts have saved in time, energy and knowledge shared may never be repaid.  The least we owe is a debt of gratitude, an annual dinner would never match the value to the association of our volunteers.
