Chart Shelf See R-20 _Passing Wind_; between the braces beneath foredeck, Jim put a chart storage "shelf" consisting of slats between the reinforcing braces beneath the foredeck just ahead of the mast. One slat at the bottom (forward) keeps flat (folded) charts from sliding forward & out. Reinforcement braces: 24" long (fore/aft) Spacing between braces, between centers: Forward = 23 5/8" Middle = 23 5/8" Aft = 23 1/4" (These measurements are probably specific to the particular boat being measured. mdk_)

Spreader length correction In some place(s) (for example, bulletin #22 in issue #37, October 1983) the spreader length was given as _24 1/4"_ after the recommended modification; it should be _2' 4 1/4"_ (two feet, four and one-fourth inches). Some documents have already been corrected.
