The R-20's side bins can be difficult to use because the curvature of the hull causes things to shift around in a way that can make stowing, searching, and retrieving objects very difficult. Years ago someone (Tim?) learned that a particular product could be used to "level" the bottom of the bin, similar to the way that some of the Technical Manual projects level the cockpit lazarette or the area beneath the bridgedeck.
This plastic shelf is such a "perfect" fit in the side bin (round opening) of the Ranger 20, that one must rely upon the shelf's extreme flexibility in order to install it. I found it necessary to relax with the notion that I might break it, in order to bend it enough to fit it through the opening. In fact, I had to _intend_ to break it.
Several of us have used these, and none has broken yet.
One shelf per bin. Only the two "downhill" legs are used on each shelf, installed after the shelf is inside the bin.
Most of us bought ours from Fred Meyer, a big grocery and general-merchandise retailer based in Oregon and owned by Kroger.
