Since Tina is home full time this year with Kai and Shen she has been providing childcare for a couple of other children. One little girl she watches one or two mornings a month is Lana. Shen and Lana have a special relationship with one another. You see, they used to live together in Xi'an.

We knew Lana's new family before we traveled to bring him home, and were able to take pictures of her for them when we were in Xi'an. She came home about a month later. It's been really great having her here, and Shen loves playing with her. Lana turned six in September, so she's a couple years older than Shen. But she enjoys being here, and like Shen, seems to really like having this connection to their past in one another.
