Let the blog begin...
Marion and I just returned from our 3-day visit
to DC for an orientation for Fulbright scholars heading to North Africa, the
Middle East, and South Asia. Several Fulbright alumni emphasized the importance
of keeping a journal. So I just downloaded this nifty blogging software and
thought I would get things started.
This blog will have three different categories.
The first will be about the family--our planning leading up to our six months in
India, the state of the family during our time in India, and any other
family-related news or events I feel compelled to report. The second will be my
general thoughts and reflections on India--its life, culture, society, and
environment. The third category will be about my research--a journal of the
progress of the research, ideas and reflections during the research, and other
research-related musings. I'll submit entries to the blog under each of the
three categories with the following titles: "Family," "Life in India," and
"Environmental Health Activism in
India."
I don't know much about blogs
or RSS feeds, but my understanding is that if you are interested in one of these
categories, you should be able to subscribe to it so that whenever I post a new
message to your category of interest, you are notified.
